Governments are already introducing liquidity into the capital markets to stimulate the global economy. However, the government can not control how individuals think. Individuals often think in a herd mentality and individuals represent the marketplace. Right now, this "herd" is suffering from low confidence.
Eventually, the economy will rebound. We just can't say with certainty that it will occur in 2009. |

Depression and nothing. There is really no reasonable way to stop it. As people continue to lose their jobs more foreclosures will occur. Hopefully we will stop trade with most other countries, especially China and start producing more in the US. |

Things should start to turn around by the end of the year. How fast it will improve is anyone's guess. It will depend on how well the stimulus packages work.
Keep your eye on the stock market. It usually leads the rest of the economy by 6 months or so. |

The very idea that "Obama will fix the economy" is just plain STUPID. There are powerful people behind-the-scenes who allowed the banking crisis to happen, the same way that the stock market crisis happened in 1929. I think that what will happen is that the so-called Amero currency will be ushered in, under the guise that it will help to fix the financial crisis. |

Even the Government does not have a solution, as of now they are working on it of that you may be assured. It will take time to hear all the proposals and make a decision, and find the best possible solution. That is why we have the form of Government that we do, with checks and balances, that is the best form of Government there is. What I think we should do is pray for them, while this issue is being resolved, that they come to the right decision about the Global financial crisis. |
