What does pay-pal mean?
When pay-pal says I will make 5.4% as an average 7 day yield on there mma, does that mean I will make 5.4% on my current balance every seven days? In turn compounding 4 times a month and 12 times every Quarter?

I've used the paypal money market account. It's a great deal. No account minimum, and ACH transfers to and from my checking account are free.

5.4% is the annual yield and it's compounded monthly. Every month they pay out 1/12th of 5.4% of your balance. When they say "seven day average yield," I think that means 5.4% is the average yield for the last seven days. The yield is adjusted every so often according to interest rates etc. BTW, my paypal account only pays out 5.06%.

Pal means partner. You are one of PayPal's partners - the pay partner. The only thing is that you do not make money. You are one of the" pay partners " who spend money. So don't expect too much from PayPal.

Jeff the drummer
No, that's not what that means.
