Lloyd HOUZ | What does "invest in people" mean? |
what does it really mean in businesses. i always see this with it's logo in e.g forms e.t.c? |

This refers to an "INVESTORS IN PEOPLE" logo. It means that the company has been accredited by the investors in people organisation. This deals with workers satisfaction and willingness of the firm to supply training etc.
Critics say this is largely a paper exercise, so that the firm can stick "investors in people" on it's notepaper and have a plate on the wall! |

Invest in people can also mean for example, when a company sponsers a student, pays for their university and gives them free internships. In return, they expect the student to work for their company for a fixed number of years. The company is investing in the student and their abilities, skills and ideas. |

A company that offers its workforce training and career enhancement opportunities that can be applied in their present positions while also being relevant in jobs outside of the company can be considered as an investor in people. |

human resources are the most critical factor in many businesses.
Without inadequate people, you can't run even the the most perfect system.
Many company heavily invest in IT Systems, Marketing Systems, Resourches, etc.
But if there aren't adequate employees to run those systems, it is just waste of money.
Invest in People means:
- Training,
- Making them a decision maker in their scope
- Making them loyal to company, but it is not so necessary, if the entire industry invest in people, you can transfer someone also.
- making them do best. |

That means hire and pay your employees with an attractive salary. In return, they will be loyal and work harder for your business. Everything you invest in, you will hope to have a good return. Invest in PEOPLE is the same! |
