What should you do?....well first I would get rid of your adviser he is pretty much just guessing. Do your own research and learn about the market before you starting investing.

When the experts have no clue....... when no one has an "edge"..... you wait for the market to tell you "now's the time"......... assuming you have a long term plan & a asset allocation model..... you don't sell.

An alternate idea is.................. start a dollor cost averging plan into mutual fund(s)... Pick a specific amount to be invested every month from now on.... some fund companies will allow you to do it 2 times a month (automatically)........

(This stuff is pretty easy.... after about 3-12 months you will "get it").......................................

Wait and then buy.

The dow needs to drop a little more before people start saying "we've hit bottom, it''ll go back up now". At that point, all your stock will be back at what you paid and the new stock you bought will have gone through the roof.

Brokers always say "Buy" or "Hold"
Never trust a broker's advice.
Do your own research.

Go to google and type in "Ulli the Wall Street Bully"

You can get some good guidance from Ulli Niemann

I'd get ready to buy soon, the market showed sign of rebound for a brief 1 hour or 2 there may be a bounce soon i am watching the market closely and ready to buy the stocks i picked.

you should hold on to what you have now and wait for the market to recover. once you see recovery, then its good time to buy it back again.

Stephanie P
Just wait, hold on to it. The Dow won't stay down forever. Those are the top 30 companies.

It really depends on your current financial situation, if you are not going to need the money over the next 5 years I would let it ride. So if you can afford to let the money go for a while I would let it go, however if you have a child going to college in the next few years and you might need the money for that I would pull it out now, its not worth you jeopardizing your child's education. GOOD LUCK!!!!
