Peacelilly | What investment product is suitable for long term (over 10 years) investment for a child's education? |
Would like to know what companies offer low-cost investment products that doesn't need too much time and attention to manage. Would like to invest for child's education fees. |

I would strongly suggest arranging a meeting with a financial adviser. There are many different options for investing for a child's education as well as your own retirement. They will be able to help you through the whole process, and many that are outside a bank, manage your account and require that you meet certain expectations; such as depositing a certain amount each month, contacting them with any concerns or problems, keeping them informed with monthly statements and the such. |

Investment product? like cd, ira, or other accounts? I'm not sure what's best, but my aunt started a minor's guarentee fund for my daughter. |

Compared to offline businesses, the investment required to start an online business is minimal. A popular way of earning money on the internet is by providing information and services. This can be monetised by advertising or charging a subscription. You can also make money online by selling products on auction websites like eBay or through your own website. Invest in something that you know...like Disney, Heinz, Walmart, Merck, etc and let it sit. I have these for Grandkids and they cannot cash them until they reach 21 yrs old. They called UTMA accts, look up term....the kids will pay tax on them when cashed. |

Over a 10 year view, you're better off investing in the stock markets ... through a tracker ... or (if you're a little braver) in commodities. Always save a regular amount through an ISA. I'd suggest going through a large company, like Fidelity.
Good luck |

Spreading your risk with a high amount of low risk:
Property if you've got the money, If not
50% ISA's
25% Bonds
25% Stock Market
But its your choice. |
