It is the same thing as 5 bonds, which is often referred to as a round lot. Most of the time, however, people just say that it is 100 shares of a company, and a possessive stockholder. |

"lots" that is what its called but it depends in what country you are referering to and what type of stock.
Bank stock lots are usually 500 and in England it for 600 |

You must mean the board lot. The number of stocks that you buy should be divisible by the board lot. For example, the board lot for company A is 100. You can buy its stocks in 100, 200, 500, 1000, 200000, etc. Usually, the more expensive the stock price is, the lower the board lot.
On the other hand, odd lots are stocks bought not divisble by the board lot. E.g. 99, 201, 3009, etc. Posting of odd lot orders are usually separate from the board lot orders. I.e. buyers/sellers that posted board lot orders cannot buy/sell from sellers/buyers that posted odd lot orders and vice versa.
