You do know, that you can type in "30% of 1000" in Google, and it'll give you the answer?

You're kidding, right? Basic math. Your formula is 1,000 divided by .30. To do it in your head, you first have to remember one really cool thing between math and our currency is that they are both base 10. That means that each digit multiplies or divides by 10. If you move the decimal point one digit to the left, your result is 10%. Multiply by 3. I'm sure you can at least count by 10s.
