Depending on where you live, yard work for neighbors is always an option. If you live in a city apartment, cleaning is another option. Both of these require a lot of energy, so be prepared to work hard. You didn't say how old you are. Only work for people your parents trust.
Word of mouth is the best advertisement. When word gets around that there is someone in the neighborhood who is willing to work, you will be swamped with requests of your services. Get your parents to help set wages so you will get a fair amount for your work. |

ask neighbors about possibly doing yard work or cleaning a garage, etc. I bet a number of them would give you work just because it seems almost unheard of anymore in regards to teens trying to earn their own money. |

It depends on what kind of city/town you live in. My son started his own business at 14 running errands for neighbors. First, he would take a grocery order, from an elderly lady next door. And,as we lived near enough he could ride his bike, he would pick up her goods and charge a 15 % fee. Then, he would do some grass cutting and things like that. Cleaning out attics, basements, odd jobs like painting or washing windows. He would go to the post office for people, or to the dry cleaner. Luckily we live in a small town and could use his bike. He got with some businesses around town and did a bike courier business as well. Then, once he got his car, he took it full time and made enough money to buy a new car by the time he was 17.
There are SO many people out there that need things done, and not enough people to do it. I actually paid him to go around the house and clean my windows, I paid him his usual fee, because I truly hate cleaning windows, and I have allot of them.
Another guy in our town bought some second hand lawn mowers and went door to door asking if he could mow their grass. At first he didn't charge much, but, as he got more clients he asked for more money. Unless they were elderly living on a limited income. Then, he did it for a very small fee and baked goods.
You can do anything you want, as long as you work hard at it.
Ask around with your parents friends or neighbors, they might have jobs they truly hate to do, or don't have time to do...and they will be willing to pay someone to do it.
Good luck !! |
