A vegan does not consume animal products. Not just a vegetable eater... they avoid butter, eggs and so on. Most avoid animal products also, such as leather and feather pillows. |

vegan is a little different than just being a straight vegetarian. By definition, vegetarians are those individuals that do not eat any meat products, they will however, eat dairy products and eggs. Vegans on the other hand, do not consume any animal products at all! Or derivatives or such. So guess where an egg comes from? A Chicken! And milk? A cow! So you can cross both eggs and milk off your list. The Vegan diet walks a hard thin line. |

Vegans do not eat, wear or use any products that are made from animals.
This would include wearing leather clothing, eating eggs, eating meat, drinking milk, etc.
Vegetarians simply do not eat meat. They may still eat eggs, drink milk and wear leather clothing.
Investing probably isn't the best category to post this question to. |

Vegan referrers to the more extreme vegetarians. Vegans don't eat anything that comes from animals. No drinking milk, eating eggs, fish, chicken (which is poultry, not red meat that vegetarians don't eat), and anything else that falls into that category. They take a lot of supplements and vitamins to make up for what they aren't getting out of food groups if they want to be healthy.
-Many vegans also don't drink coffee because some coffee and coco beans are a bi product of jungle animals. Vegans really do know a lot more about where food comes from since they look into the fine details of everything to be sure it's within their diet. |

: Vegans do not eat meat of any kind and also do not eat eggs, dairy products, or processed foods containing these or other animal-derived ingredients such as gelatin. Many vegans also refrain from eating foods that are made using animal products that may not contain animal products in the finished process, such as sugar and some wines. Although there is some debate as to whether certain foods, such as honey, fit into a vegan diet, if you are cooking for other vegans, it is best to err on the side of caution and avoid using these foods. |

"Veganism (also strict or pure vegetarianism) is a philosophy and lifestyle that seeks to exclude the use of animals for food, clothing, or any other purpose.[1][2] Vegans do not use or consume animal products of any kind."

There is a difference between being a vegetarian and a vegan. A vegetarian doesn't eat meat. But a vegan eats raw vegetables. I believe they eat foods that don't require cooking. |
