What is going to happen to our stock market in the next 6 months?
All I'm seeing right now is business after business going bankrupt. When will this billion dollar crises come to an end?

When we pay the piper as a country...

use this analogy

You have a daughter named..uh, let's call her America
She's addicted to this drug called debt.
So, you put her in rehab... but her UNCLE SAM
can't stand to see her shake and have seizures during withdrawal,
so he keeps sneaking her more debt. Problem is, to get clean
American must go through withdrawal...(recession)
and become financially responsible and save after producing.

If Uncle Same keeps giving her the drugs she'll eventually o.d. and die.

Unfortunately, if it were only a billion dollar crises it would not be so bad. Think instead trillions of dollars crises. The Fed and the Treasury are making things worse with all of their attempts to save everybody, I believe, instead of letting the dead die off. I just don't know how many trillions the U S tax payers are going to be able to absorb. And I thought the Iraq war was a vast waste of resources. I guess the Fed showed me a thing or two about waste. Maybe you should not be thinking 6 months but perhaps years.

It's a fallout of the credit and real estate crisis. Hopefully the 'cleansing' of the system will rid it of the illusions of financial infallibility. The bigger they are the harder they fall. Consolidation will surely come in and I see a rise over the next 2-5 years. The markets are doing okay in the face of all the news.

I read a lot of financial news, but I've very particular as to who I listen to. In a nutshell - noone knows.

My stockmarket guru indicated he reckoned we were about 40% the way through it. That means we've got a bit over a year to go.

Based on the trading patterns of the last several months, I anticipate there will be days when the markets consolidate and/or achieve minor gains, interspersed with days when one event or another will trigger losses... some of which may be substantial.

I do not believe we have 'bottomed out' as yet, and expect further turmoil ahead.

The stock market is in correction mode and nearing its bottom. It is passing through dark tunnel and I feel the journey of crossing the tunnel shall be over very soon. The reward and risk ratio have become very favorable and investors making investment right now in good value blue chip stocks shall make a good killing in time to come.

Up to Dipawali it will down to his lowest, that will be the time to invest
