What is the bank of america interest rate percent?
i want to open an account but i first would like to know what is the interest rate percent for bank of america. i would like a number like 6.5 % yearly. thank you
50 years ago the top rate was 5%. Now most banks give you about 0.20% interest.
What you will be looking for is Emigrant Direct or ING Direct. They don't give a 6.5% interest rate but you won't find anything higher than them. Emigrant Direct is higher than ING right now

Dont go to bank of America use Wa-MU

It depends on the type of account. Savings? Money Market? CD? Call them.

6.5% right now is a fantasy, not realistic.
unless you've been out of the usa, interest rates have been decreasing since the start of 2008.

Rates are changing from state to state and regarding your deposit.
6.5 would be a dream. While my stan in US BAO had the lowest interrest rate for savings account. it was 0.5% or sth like this. Which means they give you 5 dolars if u put 1000 dolars. At the same time Citibank's online savings was giving 5% which returns 50 dolars at the end. I advise you to check on their websites or use a comparison website.

Bank of America has many types of accounts with different interest rates. Also, they do not publicize this, but they offer different rates and terms in different states, so you may get a better rate by opening an account at one of their branches in another state.

for a regular savings, it's 0.20%. If you want a higher rate try ING

In this day and age your interest rate at a bank is unreasonably high. Most are 2% or less.
Also it is impossible for anyone to tell you an interest rate at any bank as there are too many variables.
How much are you depositing, what kind of account are you depositing in. Sorry there really isn't enough information in your question.
I have my mortgage with WA-MU and I wouldn't use them for anything.
