There is no best method for everyone, but there is a best method for you.
The Buffett method is difficult to emulate. He has the ability to influence management. He is also quite brilliant and his track record of investing in strong businesses when they are out of favor is second to none. That is an ability that he has personally, but most investors simply do not share that ability.
Trading momentum stocks is also a difficult method in that you need to have the discipline to take losses quickly and let your profits run, rather than take a quick profit. On the other hand, a good daytrading method can be profitable as well.
The bottom line is that there is more than one way to skin a cat. Do a lot of research and reading, and figure out what style of trading or investing might be most suitable to your own personality, financial situation and living situation.

Peter Lynch: Invest in what you know.
Warren Buffett: Buy businesses that have a moat around them. In other words, something like a superior brand name, business system or product, so that will protect their market value. |
