If you have to ask that question in this public forum, I doubt that you are positioned to risk your money in any stock today. Stock market prices are driven by Public Perception and not necessarily by the value or the income of the company. Take a look at Exxon Mobil (XOM) for the last 6 months while oil and gasoline prices were going up. XOM is down 5%, while the Dow Jones Industrial is up 7.5%. Investors who put down their money without doing their homework are easily fleeced by brokers, some who hang around chat rooms hoping to get young investors into their areas of service. Remember one thing if nothing else: stock trading is a net zero business; it produces one loser for each winner, and the loser is usually the little guy who buys (through a broker) what the big guy doesn't want. Study how the market works, find newsletters that have a good history of recommending stocks, invest your money in a step after step manner, maybe 20% each month for 5 months, and be ready to sell even if at a small loss if the value of your selected stock decreases by more than 10-20%. You will have to set your own loss limits. Good luck, but don't rush.

Best is a matter of opinion. Consider your personal goals, your personal habits, and your conscience. Look at the state of the world, and the world market. Around the world, we have many disasters that are just now getting attention and response. One big thing I see is that the world's food market is about to elevate. I see rises in commodities such as oats, cotton, potatoes and peanuts. Why peanuts? Peanut butter is cheap to produce, yet very high in nutrition and portability. Look at what we are doing in the third world markets. They've been dealt a serious blow, and our forces are in there providing supplies. These supplies are going to go up in demand. Help the farmers, support the world and then turn a tidy profit. Just my two cents though. Don't bank on my words, just consider them. I don't place much faith in precious metals and jewels, their values fluctuate according to greed. Commodities fluctuate according to need. Think well, my friend, and chose wisely!

Right now, i could give you info on a company that had some accounting problems and their stock went way down, because of it - but now everything is ok and they are on the upswing - the kicker is you can but low at 3.00 a share and that will double and triple as I type because of their reliability - but really you need a dictionary

Try Amgen pharmaceutical. Or Apple Computer. Both seem to do well in an intermediate time frame.
