Real estate would normally be good, but we have not seen the bottom yet, and recession still looms.
Oil has had an incredible $40/bbl run in the past couple of months, and looks a little long in the tooth, and about to break off, at near $100/bbl.
Gold is an excellent long-term investment, for almost any reason (diversity, stability, low-risk), but particularly to offset the Dollar, since the world is Dollar denominated. Gold has not gone up in price so much in terms of most other currencies. So gold can be a proxy, or hedge against Dollar weakness.
To answer your question directly, the best way to invest for a weakening Dollar, in my humble opinion, would be to buy the ETF in Euros, the strongest and most stable currency in the world right now: ticker symbol FXE.

Unfortunately, the continuing weakening of the $ is not exactly a speculation. More akin to a certainty considering the incompetence of the government fiscal policy.
Oil is one place that looks relatively like a good investment. Chinese securities is another, especially now that they have been beaten down by the drop in world markets. Foreign debt funds such as GIM is another. U S companies with significant foreign operations--MSFT, CAT, JNJ, and the like. When they covert the foreign sales back to the U S dollars, the conversion will look exceptionally good on the bottom line. |

Forex trading--take advantage of the global currency market.
I would say to use a managed currency fund rather than trading it yourself. For the last 4 months the FXCM sentiment aggressive fund has 52% return. (www.fxcm.com). If you open an account through a broker (such as Self-Actualizer Financial Solutions), you can get a big discount on the performance fees--see www.self-actualizer-fs.com |

Buy any non-perishable commodity that is priced globally in dollars... like gold for example. So as the value of the dollar decreases, the dollar value of your gold will increase. |

I think Finanzas Forex is one of the best ways to invest nowadays. Here, you can get 10% monthly from 100 dollars. Well, this one of things I should invest.

Buy the homes that are in Florida that got cut off by 30%, and use the CN $ to buy it even cheaper..tourisim, now you'll enjoy cheaper prices of travelling...
Buying cars/printers, or whatever in the US if your near the border, (US Products are suprisingly cheaper than CN$ even if the CN$ was lower by a bit) and making the US dollar weaker, means you can even buy for less.
Exchange or change your money in US$, than back to CN$ later on when CN$ drops and US$ raises.
Invest in stocks/markets..
Real estate. |

Right now, Real Estate is the best investment. With the many foreclosures that are occurring right now, you can get a really good deal. Plus, it is the only investment that can make you income and equity, while also being insurable. And, biggest bonus...the interest for any loan you take is tax deductible...and if you want to borrow against your own equity, you don't pay income tax...at least not until you actually sell the property.
Hope this helps. |
