maniraj257 | What is the cause of up and down in share market ? |

SHARE MARKET INDICATORS: SENSEX and NIFTY are the 2 share market indicators in India.
Sensex,
is the cumulative growth/ fall of the top 30 companies based on their market capitalisation.
Market Capitalisation: Market Price of the Share X Total Number of Shareholders.
At the end of the day, top 30 Companies ( based on Market Capitalization) are selected, their stocks movements are studies
.
If their cumulative average is UP, the share market indicator goes UP
If their cumulative average is DOWN, the share market indicator goes DOWN
Similar is for NIFTY, but just that it considers, 50 Companies instead of 30 companies of Sensex. |

The main cause is when demand increases the cost decreases and cost increases demand decreases this is correct or not I don''t know |

this is not an easy answer. ups and downs in share markets are linked to almost everything in the capitalistic world. From raw material prices, to pension plans, to currency reserves to interest rates, even to the price of a mc donald meal.
In short. everything |

Stock markets may go up and down driven by speculation but this spell lasts for short time, what actually drives them up or down is the health of economies. the expectation of how the future will be. The recent meltdown has been contributed mostly by sub prime crises which has resulted in severe lack of liquidity. The near term future is so unpredictable that people prefer to sit out of the markets or sell out, which leads to fall. |

Money is no longer available for leveraging speculative investments. Thus the market will fall and keep falling until we hit the true value of stocks as an investment. Somewhere near Dow 6000.
There is no UP right now. |

Speculation is what makes the markets move. You will see people investing long term and short term. Long term things will go up and down just as in short term. There are arguments about technical analysis vs fundamental analysis. Fundamental will tell you that the markets move based on information. Technicals will try to show you why the markets moved based on the position of the market as perhaps overbought or oversold or retracing to a Fibonacci level or one of several other reasons. There are bulls and bears in the market. Buyers and Sellers. There is a constant battle and one wins over another at varying times. The market at this time is volatile and people are getting in and out at a higher rate than usual based on economical issues. Panic or fear or concern is driving some people to trade emotionally which creates an eratic market. Things will level - they always do. When is the question. If you like investing, you may find that the FOREX market is interesting because it is quite volatile and you can make money whether the market is going up or down. |

The ups and downs in the market is mostly based on the performance of the company and the trust of the investors in the company.
If the company is doing well and it is into profits, then investors has confidence in the stocks and they start buying more shares of that firm.
This boosts the market up and now we can see the down trend of the market as the investors are unable to decide in what to invest and which stock will fetch them good profits.
It is also linked to other factors of the capitalistic world. |

Normal DEMAND & SUPPLY ARE THE CAUSE OF MARKET FLUCTUATION WHETHER IT IS investment or speculation. people who want to make quick buck they lured to follow the giants or successful speculators who play their game unitedly and bring in their trap middle class or poor people who do not have their own money but they borrow and finally loose their stake.the share market is an intelligent trading place one has to have great courage andendurance to loose money as NO RISK NO GAIN OR NO PAIN NO GAIN. REMEMBER THE OLD SAYING OF STOCK EXCHANG " THOUSANDS ARE BECOMING ROOFLESS THEN FEW BECOMES OWNER OF HOUSES OF GOLD ROOF. PLEASE BE CAREFUL TRY TO BE AN INVESTOR BEFORE GOING FOR TRADING/SPRECULATING. |
