My Mom was born during the Great Depression but no one I know is taking this as seriously as they should be. I believe the USA as we know it, will be out of business 6 months from now, if a good solution isn't crafted.

A Recession is 2 or more consecutive quarters (3 month periods) of negaitive growth in an economy. Negative growth in the economy can result from job loss, lower stock market, lower GDP/exports, etc.
There is no finite definition of a Depression in economics terms (becuase it's really only happened once in history...1930s), other than it is a severe and extensive recession that last many years. |
