1) pay off credit card and any debts with an interest rate of 6% or higher.
2) start a Roth IRA or contribute to one if you already have one
3) keep it in the bank or a CD - 10 grand is not a lot of money, but it can certainly provide a fianancial cushion during an emergency.
4) if you already have all of the above and this $10k is a above all that I have listed then I think I'd just put it in an index fund - check out Vanguard or Fidelity for some good index funds. |

Invest your money into some mutual funds. Spread out the funds over some aggressive, some moderate and some conservative. The mutual fund market is very consistent and has been since it was started. REMEMBER, this is a long-term investment. With 10k to start depending on your age, you could be set up pretty good when you retire. The best mutual funds can be found through a company called American Funds. www.americanfunds.com
While land is usually a good investment, you may not see it grow fast enough for your liking unless you get a prime piece. For 10k, you won't get a prime piece of land in most places. |

Well if you really want my opinion tho (and I'm actually experienced n this thing which is why to me its so ridiculous to ask that here)
It depends Solly on you, if your kinda of laid back don't want to do anything, then maybe rent a already built shop in a good location for what your business would be. Or if your active into it maybe start a reality company and begin with some friends flipping houses. I made a great deal that way. You could also just put a Bar in an bar-less neighborhood I have two and I see more than 200,000 a month from them alone.
