What is the safest investment with the most return?

The safest investment is U.S. Treasury Notes, Bonds, or Bills, as the US has never defaulted on these obligations. You won't get much more than 5% return on them, though, at current market rates.

Stocks give the most return over long periods, historically. But they are not safe at all. They are subject to great volitility. You can make a fortune in a small period of time, but you can also wake up one morning, check your account, and see that you've lost everything.

The best solution... DIVERSIFY. Have some money in stocks, some in bonds, some in Real Estate. But before you do any of that, PAY OFF ALL YOUR DEBTS. You have no business investing at 5%, 8%, or even 12% if you are in debt on a credit card at 20%!!!!

I would go income prodcing stocks/bonds they have very safe funds that pay 7 -9% very low risk. Bonds are also very safe might be a good time to jump in with the market going down and with mortgage rates on the down slide

I am saying CD's now- I am disgusted with the stock market now. There is a 5.25 percent liquid money market account available at Lakeland Bank in Park Ridge, NJ- I just opened one last week- I am sick over my account in stocks. Good luck!

You can try this site. Their average return per stock in 2007 is more than 100% in profit! I have made quite a lot of money just by following their recommendations

CDs and money market funds are safe and offer the best returns.

Did you know that there are investments that have an average interest higher than CD's and not subjected to state or federal income taxes? Would you like it if they were secured by local, state and federal governments? Would it be nice if you were able to make a withdrawal and they were in your checking account with minimum charges within 2 business days. Check out municipal bond funds.

Are you ready to start? Would you like more information? Let me know. -Marcus marcuskthomson@yahoo.com

Try investing in China, but DO NOT buy smaller companies, the Chinese stock market is already a bubble about to explode. Try buying some safe stocks of larger Chinese companies on the Hong Kong Stock Market. I'd go with something like SinoPec, Petro China, China Mobile, Bank of China, and HSBC. You COULD also try to buy some Blue Chip stocks listed on the Dow Jones. If your looking for guarenteed investments try gold or even just set up a savings account at a bank.
