It does if you work it right, and find someone to teach you the steps or just go thru them with a respected brokerage firm..The best online brokerage acct. with no minumum to open by far is Zecco, but i advise you to do the research yourself to confirm this first! they are the only ones that have free stock trading {with 2500 minumum acct balance, or 4.50 if less than 2500, wich is still the lowest you will find i promise}, it's what i use and am doing quite well.

The stock market is where you can go to buy shares of companies and sell them. There are numerous ways to make money.
You can make money by
Buying the stock and selling it higher
Selling the stock and buying it lower
Buying the right to buy/sell the stock at a certain price and selling that right at a higher price
Selling the right to buy/sell the right to buy a stock at a certain price by a certaint date in hopes that it will expire and you walk away with the profit |

I would like to add one more thing... you do not have to only "buy" stocks... you may also sell stock you do not have and buy them back later at a reduced price, and make a profit.. |

for exmaple take converted organics (COIN)
if you bought at 3 dollars and now its trading around 9 dollars you tripled your money.... |
