What is your #1 stock pick (long) to hold 30 days or more?
Tell me the symbol and exchange and why you like it so much. Thanx

PS Mine is SUN because Sunoco is a refiner and I still believe we will have another oil shortage probably just after the election LOL

LOL!

If you think 30 days is "long" then I'm absolutely astonished you have any money left to invest!

SUN is not a bad buy right now, since it has lost so much ground against the broader market over the last year (see chart below), which with oil being a non-renewable commodity doesn't make too much sense. Logic should tell you if you are willing to buy and hold for at least 6 or 7 months (preferably 12 months to avoid short-term taxes), SUN can be expected to rise perhaps as much as 25% from where it is now.

Hess might be a better move though, since they are making more money with fewer employees...

WFMI, whole foods supermarket

Its ethical, tey have good food, treat employees well, and people spend a fortune there, at least in and around Boston. It has a good track record to I think. My wife put 1K in a few years ago, its 5K or more now I think.

Invest in something thats sells what YOU would buy.

Humanreso-I feel your comprehension of imperialism, economics and political maneuvering and spin are to be commended LOL Maybe you can capitalize better on this with buying, say, maybe, some November at the money or a little out of the money calls? If the premium is right-OR-write some in the money puts-I don't know your financial situation tho-I'd give your pick a 9 and a half. I am more of a fundamentalist trader and "keeping my eyes and ears open" too. YO, "do your homework" guy-the books on Enron are lookin' great!!! LOL I don't think the terrorism dealio has hurt the seasonal cruise-liners either-for some day trading-if you watch for some head and shoulders on the technical side-if you have ready access.

Investing in oil is smart but your profits cause wars and global warming, how can you sleep at night?
