There is a fixed amount of stock that has been issued at any time for any company. When demand for a companies stock outweighs supply for the stock the price will rise. A company that is well managed, maintains low costs relative to their earnings, has favorable news, or is believed to have some technological advantage are all factors that could lead to increased demand for the stock. |
