don't listen to the shlub that told you apple. Just because they come out with something new doesn't mean their sales are where they have to be in order to keep a high stock price. Good stocks are companies that can still keep great sales and high profits regardless of our economic situation. I actually do believe apple is one of these companies, but I'd get in after it drops another 2% or so. Walmart is still a good buy around 52 |

I do not know the letters, but there are a few stocks that Mirror the S&P or the DOW.
So when the S&P goes up that stock goes up, there is also another stock which is similar and is the inverse of the S&P
as of now stocks are still dropping, but its my guess that its going to hit bottom soon and the stock that mirrors the S&P is the one to buy, b/c in the long run the S&P will go back up prolly a few thousand point in the next couple of years. |

The million dollar question.
Certain stocks are well priced, because they have been dragged down with all the others in the downswing. Strong fortune 500 companies that have excellent balance sheets (little or no debt) and pay a good dividend are good places to start. Beware of companies in strong cyclical businesses (like durable goods..cars, appliances, building etc),
or in financial services Citicorp, GE). Johnson and Johnson, Schering Plough, Microsoft, Exxon anre all good bets. |
