cw | What type of job earns 10,000 dollars a month? |
I'm not talking about major sports jobs or heads of companies, but something the average joe can do to earn that kind of money. |

I guess it depends on how you define "average joe". Lawyers and doctors can make that and much more if they're good, but that requires extensive education. There are plenty of other fields, financial services (mortgages, stocks, etc.), real estate, some types of sales, etc. In pretty much every case it requires some combination of education, training, experience, connections/networking, or just plain luck to get to the kind of money you're talking about. As one of the other responses said, if you can get to that point, you're not really average. That doesn't mean you can't start out as an average joe and get there. It just takes hard work and time. |

the average joe will make average pay. You need to make yourself above average if you want above average pay. Now with that said 10grand a month isnt that hard to do if you give yourself marketable skills or an education. For the first time in history the average pay for a 1st year MBA is over 100 grand a year. A good commissioned based sales job with an business degree can usually get that kind of pay, If you are a good salesman. Keep in mind that with a commissioned job, your paycheck will go up and down considerably. Im a commissioned based Corporare Recruiter, I make very good money, However, Ive had 21 grand paychecks....Ive also had 300 dollar paychecks. Also with commissioned based sales jobs your job will fluctuate on a year to year basis. Examples: An Investment banker would be doing great right now, because the economy is booming. If the economy goes sour, he might be looking for another job. My job as a recruiter is doing great right now, because unemployment is very low and companies are having a hard time finding people to fill good positions. If unemployment ever goes up quite a bit, I will probably have to find something else to do. This is where your educationn and marketable skills come in. A advanced degree like a MBA can help you get a job in many areas of the business world.
In other words, there are no shortcuts to financial success. Go to college, go to graduate school, study hard, give yourself many marketable skills and that kind of money will come. |

it's sad but true.. most average guys don't get to earn that kind of money unless they start their own business and work hard at it. In the finance world, where the average guy is very smart, you can find senior guys who aren't even heads of companies earning a thousand dollars an hour (starting salaries are generally around 40-60 but increase very quickly)... there's a big incentive to working very hard. |

This is a very easy question! Go get the best job in the US, if you do not have a Phd already....the RAILROAD! They are like a country inside a country(US). Their retirement package makes regular social security retirement look like child's play. They take funds out of your pay for a disability annuity in case you get hurt before you reach age 50. They take good care of your mate financially too, if you get hurt or injured on or off the job. They pay big money but you will work long hours. HOWEVER if you are a good longterm thinker, you should be able to work for the RR for 10 yrs only and invest in passive income project so as to retire early no problem. Any thinking person that gets a job on the railroad, without college loans to payoff, at age 21 should be able to retire from ever needing a formal job again by age 31! In the past, people have worked on the RR for 40 years before retiring. It is still one of the best jobs in America and it is growing in wealth. One of the best unions on Earth. How do I know, I am a past longterm railroader. I can live any place on Earth right now I wish.
See US Railroad Retirement Board on any search engine. Their website will tie you into tons of RR jobs nationwide.
See what Warren Buffet, one of the richest people in the world has to say:
http://money.excite.com/jsp/nw/nwdt_rt_top.jsp?news_id=ap-d8p984co1&
You can work on a US RR for 10 yrs and learn all the ins and outs plus network to establish longterm friendships with powerful RR execs. Move to a 3rd world country(www.internationalliving.com) and become a big chess piece in helping them develop their RR structure to move their country from 3rd world to atleast 2nd world by moving their goods, services and people daily by train. Your income and perks as a RR consultant would be endless.
The only thing that limits anyone is a lack of creativity!
Don't forget, buy gold & silver bullion! think global. |
