A billion dollars is almost on an inconceivable amount of money. If you were to receive one dollar every second it would take you over 60 year to reach a million.
With that in mind, you could never have a need for any material thing for yourself with that much money. Of course I would want a few houses in different parts of the world. Nothing enormous, just a number of them so that I can travel and experience living in many places.
I would be that guy that left large tips for some hard working waitress and silently slip out the door. I would be putting a lot of kids through school. I would be paying medical bills for people in need. I would want to do something for runaways, at risk youth, and victims of abuse. I would want to help people with chemical addiction. I would try to fund research for green technology in hopes that it would be profitable to pump more money right back into it. I would want to help animals too. I would also set up some sort of trust that continues to generate funds for various causes, and I would lobby for these causes. My god, I can't begin to imagine everything I would want to do with that kind of money. And I am sure that I would die thinking that I could have done more.
Oh yeah... and I would go on some major shopping sprees in Milan and build a replica of Versailles and throw lavish parties there, just to be obnoxious. =) |

Keep enough money to live an average life without working and give the rest of it away to world vision. Once I'm out of school though I'd still go to work so I can get money for charities. |

see how many times they would let me through the carwash. Then buy a million double cheeseburgers from mcdonalds to see what their reaction is. Then spend the rest on stuff I want. I always wanted to do the first part. |

1. Pay off my debts - and with that amount I could pay off my family's as well.
Sell our businesses and houses...
Buy/build my dream home and a couple of holiday homes.
2. Invest in some fantastic real estate - let's face it God is not making more dirt! It's only going to get better.
3. Spread out the investments over some share portfolios and some extremely secure compound interest Term Deposits - to ensure it's spread around so that all my investments are diverse.
4. Fund some research - probably something to do with green energy and cancers.
5. Take kids/family overseas. |

Burn it. Charities are full of corruption, as am I. It could only bring pain and grief for whoever held it. Better to be poor on this earth with treasure in heaven. |
