Hello,
There are better ways to invest your money.
I have invested in my friend's business and now I am getting guaranteed 40% annual interest. You may email me for more information (check my profile).
Don't invest in stocks. It's too risky.
I wish you success! |

Your first option should be to fund fully a retirement account. If you do this, and you have extra cash, then one of the best things you can do is open a DRIP Plan.
Go to : low-cost-stock-recommendations
.com
Click on the "DRIP's" Button on the Navigation Bar
These powerful investment plans are seldom talked about because brokers make very little money when they suggest them. Yet, they have proven to be one of the best, if not the best, long-term strategy on Wall Street.
They are perfect for small investors, as well as big investors. They are safe and allow you to not care about whether the market is going up or down. They are a must for any serious investor.
If you decide you are interested in DRIP Plans, click on the advertisement on the same page "$4 to purchase stocks". This will answer your next question, which is, How do I get started? and what is the least expensive way to get started?
I strongly recommend looking into it. They are great plans.
Good Luck |

there is something called the investment pyramid, kinda like the food pyramid to stay healthy you have to eat from all parts of the food pyramid. with the investment pyramid you have to invest in low risk investments [ savings accounts and government bonds ] and higher risk investments [ like stocks]
but remember there are high risk stocks and low risk stocks. just go to yahoo finance and look at stocks that have a steady increasing graph and stocks that have rapid growth. a little research is required but it's not too hard.justremember prices are down right now because the market is down so it might be best to invest in something lower on the pyramid for now bonds are okay. but stay away form the lottery tickets. your odds of winning are something like if you bought one everyday for the rest of your life you'd win like once every 106million years. lol. |

Stocks are the way to go in my opinion. You should first study how the markets work before investing. Find books on fundamental and technical analysis and you will be on your way. |

If you prefer to be passive, invest it in a "bear market" fund. This is a mutual fund that makes money during rough times such as what we're experiencing now. Be prepared to get out of the fund and into a regular mutual fund a couple years down the road.
If you prefer to be more active in your trading, then learn some simple rules for entering and exiting trades, and open up an account to trade stocks or currencies.
