Yes, me too - I've never won anything off mine.
I've just checked their list of winners for this month on their website though, and have realised that almost all of the winners hold £5000 worth or more - only one winner held £100 like me, so I think if I want to win, I need to invest more! |

just keep waiting... but i sware there pshycic because I win EVERY time I come back from holiday... guarenteed!!! ooo and once i won every month for qutie a while but then it stopped. My brother has the numbers after me and it happened to him at the same time so maybe there was a problem with the machine.... If only they didn't fix it. lol

I have had Premium bonds since they first started over 27 years ago, without a win. Unless you have £30,000.00 you do not need to use for income, try another way. |

It all depends on how many bonds you have.
The current odds are 24,000 to 1 but this comes down alot when you have more bonds.
Also there is a element of luck this December draw someone won 1 million pounds with only £1,010 holdings.

it's just like the National Lottery.......... it's totally unpredictable........ it might be next month, it might be never...... and depends how much you have invested, as that determines how many entries you have.... the more entries you have, the better your chances of winning............... I've only ever won £50 several years ago. |

buy the max and it still doesn't give you absolute surety the odd £50 or so it all depends how your luck runs |

I run premium syndicates we have just started syndicate 3
Syndicate 1 has £24,000 started in 2000 and has won just over £7000
Syndicate 2 has £28,000 which started in 2003 and has won £950
Our third syndicate has just started and has £830 in it (will grow at 830 per month)
All the wins have been 50 and 100's with syndicate 1 also winning £5000.
All the bonds are brought monthly so we slowly build to just short of the maximum to allow for small wins to be immediately reinvested.
As you can see the longer the time the better the return but it is all chance. The other thing to consider is it better to have all individual bonds or buy a consecutive batch.
The overall returns have matched a standard deposit account after tax you can get your money back and there is always the chance of the million. Investment "experts" do recommend they play a part in your portfolio. |
