Not until after the next election in the US. I am Canadian too and I wouldn't exchange money now until at least 2009. |

We really cannot predict when the US Dollar will get back on pace. Exchanging your Canadian Dollars to USD might as well be done now.
The falling dollar isn't a bad thing for the United States economy though, nor is it George Bush's fault, haha. By having a lower value, it encourages international investment and thus actually benefits our firms.

The US dollars has been overvalued for a long time because of petrol sales made in USD. Unless you are aware of a major secret source of oil, there is no point of buying a currency that everyone will ditch when oil become scarce. |

If any of us knew that and told you, we could get into a LOT of trouble.
Don't wait much longer. Our consumer prices are getting higher and higher, and pretty soon people will just stop spending and send our economy into a 2-year recession. This happens every 10-12 years. Our whole capitalist economy, sadly, is relying heavily on oil-fueled trade movement. While the cost of oil/gas is going up, every aspect of our lives in USA is affected. |
