Vishal R | When will crude oil trade below 75$? |
crude is hovering at 100$ |

Within the next year. And probably below that. The higher it goes and the longer it stays up the lower it will go. |

Boone Pickens, a name associated with oil, predicted today that oil prices are going to drop $10-15 over the next two quarters, then return to $100 for the second half of the year. That would put oil to $85, it could go lower, but only if the world economy entered a fairly decent recession. I wouldn't bank on oil going to $75 or below, supply and demand are pretty tight right now, and supply interruptions, big or small, have put upward momentum on crude, which shows that the supply and demand is very close to equilibrium at levels close to these. I would expect oil to back off from $100 soon, until our economy improves some, at which point it should come right back. If oil does happen to go below $75, I would highly doubt it would stay there for very long, but as I said, I have no expectations of this happening. Just some thoughts, I hope they help.
Best of luck!

No one knows. Probably never. Oil is stuck in a trading range and demand does not seem to be going down anytime soon. |

when we find alternative energy source |

That would be a huge drop in price and given the current and future demand and inflation rates in the world and the U.S. I would say never. |

Primus Pilus

Never, unless the world is able to switch to other energy sources completely. It'll probably go even higher if the idiots that run the USA attack Iran. |

If you believe in the peak oil theory it never will. I do believe it. We are rapidly approaching the point oil will not be able to be produced as quickly as it is used. My guess......this will happen within ten years. |
