When there is no corn left to eat.
No, I'm kidding, I'm totally for natural gas. I don't know. I guess when more gas stations start to supply it, and when people start to realize that we really just can't keep using the same fuel we're using right now. Fact is, we're going to run out of it. Also, when the companies that make ethanol get more government funding. I think that's where their money should be directed, at a long-term solution, rathing than drilling in Alaska, which is essentially a short-term solution with permanent consequences on the environment and the beautiful landscape of Alaska. |

Natural gas is already in use for a long time in a lot of countries.
Gas from bio fuels and other sources is also in limited quantities. The development of the use of the resources depends mostly on the availability and the economic worth. There by you have to keep in mind that transportation of gas is a lot more dangerous and therefor more expensive then gasolinee. The infrastructure for the dissemination of gas is greatly underdeveloped compared to gasolin. There for there need to be developed long term plans on the federal level for the implementation of gas in general. |

That's an interesting question, as we are looking for a workable alternative fuel for our cars.
I listened to an interview with T. Boone Pickens on CNBC this morning. According to him, Americans own 750 cars for every 1,000 people. In Europe there are about 120 cars per 1,000 people, and in China the number drops to 4 cars per 1,000 people.
Clearly, the U.S. is a car obsessed country. And that's fine. That's the way we are, and I enjoy owning and driving my own car. However, since we are such huge consumers of oil, we need to find realistic sources of alternative energy.
This is where Pickens suggested the best current option for immediate adoption nationwide is natural gas. Apparently, it costs about $2,000 to convert your car to run on natural gas. Natural gas is one thing we have plenty of in America, and there are some companies that you can buy stock in to take advantage of the coming boom (in my opinion) of this market.
Check out the site below for ideas on how to get involved in micro-cap companies that are locking up leases in gas rich areas. |
