Where can I open an account to buy and sell stocks for less then 20.00 bucks?

Scottrade is only $7.00

If you buy one $6.00 share you will pay $7.00 when you buy and $7.00 when you sell.

This means your share would have to rise to $20.00 just to recover your $14.00

It would take decades and you don't make any money. You only recover your $14.00

If you invest $40.00 you could buy 4 $6.00 shares and you still would pay $7.00 when you buy and $7.00 when you sell.

In this case you would have to wait only a few years until your shares rises to $9.50 to recover your $14.00

You get the idea.

Try Etrade

Most brokerage companies will allow you to open an account to buy/sell any stocks you want. If your question relates to the price of the stock, then the only other consideration is the broker fee. It is easy to get an account with fees of less than $10 per trade, i.e. TD Ameritrade.

Let me know when you find out!!

If you are spending that little I would look into mutual funds.

I am pretty sure you can open an account with FolioFN.com without putting any money, or very little, into it. It has some awesome feature too. You can pick from many funds, make up your own, etc.

I use them and am pretty happy with them.
