Where can i find earnings per share for various companies in previous years?
Yahoo Finance. Once you have found the company, there is a "historical prices" link on the left column. Go to it. You can even export the history to excel, just scroll all the way down to the bottom, you will find a "download to excel" button.

Check their web sites or check Yahoo Finance. If they are private companies you may not be able to get any information unless they are soliciting investors.
