Where can you find out how good or bad your shares are? I have some shares in Santander (Bank)?

Additional Details
Thanks for answers so far. The shares are called Santander, they used to be Abbey National. I just go round and round on these websites like londonstockexchange! I just need to get a rough idea of how these shares are performing compared with others.

Well - Yahoo's not bad. First you need to find which shares you have... http://finance.yahoo.com/lookup?s=santander&t=S&m=US shjows many. I can say that over about 2 years they went up about 50%.... but I have never heard of the bank in question...

If the shares are the Santander ones listed on the LSE (they probably have listings on foreign exchanges too) you may want to take a look at this:

search for 'Banco de Santander' and when you're onto their website look for the word 'shares' or the spanish equivalent which is 'acciones'

basically all info that you observe doesn't make the decision for you. from one perspective it may be a bad company however other things matter like the price you pay. investing is more complicated then just buying a good or bad share.
