It may be more convenient to buy GLD, the exchange traded gold fund. The cost of purchace is only $10.00 or less per trade through an on line broker and there is very very little buy sell spread. Better yet is shares in ABX, a gold mining outfit.

You can sell them at stock market prices at a Gold and Silver Exchange. They are legal if they are obtained legally.

At the time gold price was at 560 and I got $599. each for four of them.
The guy I sold them to is still buying.
