Where or how do I go to purchase AIG stocks?
Because of the bailout of AIG and others. Would like to buy, but don't know where or how to start. Any suggestions?

You could buy AIG stock on Sharebuilder.com, it's only cost you $9.95/trade, no limitation, it's good deal so far i can get.
After you sign in, and tranfer your money, than you could play, want more money , joint to ING Direct saving, so you could link your account, and you will get $25 extra if you get invitation, if not pls used this invitation no : D292V. Hopefully go through.
AIG is good for trader which had a lot of money, i don't know about you, if you had a lot of money, you go for it. Just play sort term, over 0.05 cent to up .50 cent sell, don't be greedy. we don't know about tomorrow, no guaranty. Good Luck my friend. All the best and play safe.

The first thing you need to do is talk to a financial adviser, and see what he says. Then if you decide you still want to buy shares,he can set you up an account.

1. you need a bank account
2. sign up with a online broker like tradeking or etrade or zecco (they are the ones the buy and sell stocks for you)
3. transfer money from your bank account to your online broker (done through some forms that you can find on their website)
4. Use the online broker website to purchase stocks
5. Profit! except i wouldnt recommend investing in companies that need bailouts just yet... they might still drop in price or at most stay flat for a while

See a financial advisor. He will be more than happy to help you set up an account and place a trade in the market. If you don't have a financial advisor, many banks have them either on staff or have an affiliate they can refer you to. The whole process through account setup and trade shouldn't even last an hour. After that, you can likely call your trades in.

Note: The first poster that says they are off the market is absolutely incorrect. AIG trades under the symbol AIG (fancy how that worked out) on the New York Stock Exchange. The closing price today 12/2/08 was $1.87 with after hours trading moving the price right now to $1.90.

i DUNNO WHY YOU ARE TRYING TO DO THAT!

I work in the AIG building in TEXAS and I can tell you they are moving, selling all they can, and relocating to a smaller buiding b/c they have cut staff and can not afford the nice 18 story building we are in now.

Not a good investment unless you like lossing money!

You can't. They've been pulled off of the market.
