Tim | Where should I put my money? |
I'm a college student looking to put about $4,000 into something like a high yeild savings account. I'm not opposed to committing my money for up to like 5 years though so should I be looking into putting my money into like a government t' bill, bond funds, market market. I have had my money in a savings account, stocks and a cd. I am not getting a very good return on it. Only like 4% on the cd. I want something that will yield higher amounts of interest so that I can save it for a rainy day or buy a home or something idk yet. What should I do? What web sites have a high yeild savings accounts or money markets or whatever? Should I be investing in Mutual Funds and if so which ones and what web sites Additional Details Also, I might want to keep adding to the account and increasing it's value. If your locked into something for a set period of time, are you allowed to still add to it but not take out of it? |

Convert to Reals or YTL... they offer upwards of double digit percentages.. Emerging economies like theirs have awesome yields if you don't mind their semi-stable banking system. |

Hi,
I have it in Finanzasforex, www.finanzasforex.com/tiara,
Since i have more than 3000 dollars, I get 14% monthly.
Even if you want to simply invest here 1000 and spread the rest in bonds or similar. (that's going to be 10% than)
Mail me know if you want to get more info about it. I've been doing it now for coupple of months. They're reliable.
Take care,
Tiara |

Hi,
Here are a couple of ideas.
Stock "o," this company issues monthly dividends and seems pretty safe.
PRPFX, this is a mutual fund that will protect your funds as the U.S. economy seems shakey to say the least.
Great Track record, take a look.
Maybe check into Index annuities.
They give you a risk free way to make a few percentage points a month.
Personally, I like the forex market but that could be a little risky for a college student. e-mail me if interested.

If you must have your principle "intack" in five years;
For plenty of safe choices with high rates;
http://www.gmacbank.com/
FDIC insured.
For checking with interest;
http://www.everbank.com/
FDIC insured.
Without risk..... there can be no reward!
Please be careful. The answers you've received (so far) can go down in value...... especially a "closed" mutual fund. |
