Where to invest my money?

I have got about 3k to invest, what shall I invest it in?

Wow, so much bad advice. If you want your money back in less than 3 years time, Cash ISA or premium bonds is probably best bet (not a high interest savings account). If you are happy to leave it for longer than 3 years, I would invest in a securities ISA, and select a range of funds that meet your attitude towards risk.

If you decided that medium risk was about right, then select a balanced Multimanager fund (gives you lots of exposure to different funds and strategies) for most of it plus a property fund and a fixed interest fund for some of it to reduce the risk. Invest in these through a fundsupermarket to make life easier.

there are so many things to invest your money in like buying and selling propites or buy into a businees in other countries or give some to a charity.

If you're in the UK i'd buy 3000 premium bonds, you wont make any interest but every month you'll have 3000 chances to win one of the two top prizes of a million pounds, theres shedloads of other prizes as well, if you're interested have a look at www.nsandi.com you can find out much more there.

I would say a tax free ISA is the way to go, or look at financial advise sites such as:

It depends on how long you want to invest your money for and what your attitude to risk is. I would always look at an ISA if you have not used your allowance. Cash ISAs if you are very cautios or a stocks and shares ISA. You really need to talk to an Independent Financial Adviser. Good website is www.thepremiergroup.co.uk

go for a medium to low risk - that way you are guaranteed to make some money whilst maintaining the majority of your capital - safe option to begin with and better rate than banks and building societies
