as of today fixed deposit or government bond yielding a comp int of around 12-13% is the best because the other asset classs like share/real estate /gold /silver are going through a rough phase .so its better to invest in fd or bond for the time being and consider other options when things get steady. |

Let us define what returns can be called as good returns.
If you are investing for short term(<5 years), good return can be from 5% to 10.5%. You can get these returns from Fixed deposits, Debt linked mutual funds, Gold etc.
If you are investing for long term( 5-10 years min), good returns can be from 15%-20%.You can get these returns from Equity linked mutual funds, shares etc. |
