1. 10k in t-bills rather than cds. t-bills are free of state and local taxes.
2. 30k in 3 different mutual funds. One that invests in China, one that invests in India, and one that invests in small cap stocks. There is an index fund for small cap stocks. Also one for China
3. 10k in appropriate stocks suited to your personality. For my personality they would be JNJ, BAC, and MET. |

invest most of it in Mutual Funds and some of it in high return but some risk, such as my company, which is publishing a series of inspirational books, and offers 25% simple interest on loans of $1,000 to $5,000, in 12 months. And loans of $2500.00 to $5,000 you also get 1-2 % of future profits from sale of the books.
You can contact me at : info@drycreekpress.com
I have only a few lenders/investors, and am the author and owner of the company, with a successful book already published by Simon and Schuster. |

Mutual Fund or ETF is the way to go, unless you are a confident and experienced stock trader. In the long term, 90% of stock traders does not beat index.
BTW, fidelity is offering free $100 for opening new account (see link below). Fidelity is very good for buying mutual funds, fidelity MF has some of the lowest expense ratio and fees. |

absolutely not cd unless need the money short term. No stock if not knowledgeable. Etfs, Reits, & Mfs along with close-end investment cos that trade like stocks but deliver assets at a discount. ADX PEO EWA SNH IAU (gold etf) No dealing with an "all at risk" scenario just because you invest. After taxes & inflation you lose purchasing power on money in the bank. Period. No excuse for having it there unless have to. |
