It depends more so on how invest rather than what you invest in.

Something a millionaire taught me a few years ago when he sent me down a path to become a millionaire myself was the following quote:

"There's no such thing as a bad investment, only bad investors!"

You will hear Robert Allen, Warren Buffet, Donald Trump, along with a plethora of other successful gurus say this time and again. Another quote they like to use is the following:

"The best investment you can make is in yourself."

I have too many examples to list, some of which are quite lengthy. Anyway, to push you in the right direction, try reading the book by Robert Allen called Multiple Streams of Income.

I was actually privileged enough to meet this quirky and interesting guy who set off nothing but light bulbs inside my mind.

Long and short of it is that I learned how to generate over 30% returns each year....and that's on the low side!!

To leave you with at least 1 example, if you like the stock market, look up the "Cooper Covered Call Strategy." He describes how to use this strategy in detail within the book. To practice, you can start an account with investopedia.com to use play money.

As a last point of interest that I feel extremely worth mentioning are the investments where you use NONE OF YOUR OWN MONEY!!!!! This is called OPM (other people's money), otherwise known as leverage. IT IS BY FAR THE SINGLE MOST POWERFUL TOOL IN THE WORLD OF INVESTING!!!

Learn all you can and use it well. Good luck on your path to enlightened wealth. =)

Historically, stocks provide the greatest long-term return. They are also more volatile in the short term.

Hello,

I also had a similair problem as you have.
I had a good amount of money, and wanted it to grow.
So I looked around on the internet to find something that is:
1) giving me great returns towards a relatively small risk

2) Professional people who know what they where doing with my money.

I'm glad to say I finally found a moneymanager who is capable of giving me good returns and give me a great support.
On this blog you can follow up all the results that he is making:
http://my-robottrader.blogspot.com/

My money is working for me, in three months time I already have a ROI of 84%.
So you don't hear me complaining!
Annyway if you would like to get in touch with my moneymanager to have some more information feel free to contact me you can send an email to me at derrekmay at gmail.com.
Then I'll give you the email adress of my moneymanager

Hope this has helped you!

This is impossible to forecast that far in the future. If we could answer this question we would all be rich.

Also keep in mind that the greater the potential returns also means the greater for risk and volatility.

Long term growth, I like to make it easy.

S&P 500 Index (SPY).

Little more aggressive long term

I have had my DRIP Plan for over 20 years and it is yielding 10.40% on average annually. I am very pleased with this, and none of my other investments come close to the returns of my DRIP Plan.

They are seldom recommended by brokers due to the low rate of commissions received. However, these
reinvestment plans can be very powerful long-term investments. Studies have shown that DRIP's are one of
the best strategies on Wall Street.

They are inexpensive and easy to start. New investors to the stock market should definitely consider a DRIP Plan.

Companies like Toyota, Royal Canadian Bank, Sony, Bank of America, General Electric and many other Blue Chip
Stocks can be purchased through your DRIP Plan, with as little as 1 share in most cases.

These long-term plans are great for beginners as well as veterans. Check them out.

I have heard of people obtaining 15% to 20% annually with a DRIP Plan, but mine is slightly over 10%. And I am thrilled !!!

Best of Luck
