Put the money in a short term f.d. first in a bank. Let it earn some interest while you talk to different people, consult experts of your choice and make up your mind. There is no hurry. Rome was not built in a day. Do not get carried away by success stories in Stock market and plunge in without professional expertise. But Stock market can definitely be considered . You must bide your time, plan well and do it systematically. It is not sheer magic, but consistent hard work. |

if you want to play safe - deposit ur money in a bank- they are offering good interest rates
if risky- stock market- exceptional returns if the going is good- but mind you they can also go the other way rouund. |

If you are IT professional, or newly passed grad, Join some Java, or Oracle training. It would be a good investment for future.
If you are doing graduation, join some foreign language course ( it will pay you more than any other investment).
If you are working professional, dont bother too much about 10000 INR, go to some good restaurant with your spouse and have spend good time out there. It's an investment in future..
If you have somehow earned this 10000 INR with lot of efforts, never ever think of stock.. go for fix deposit..
If someone has gifted this 10000 INR and you just wnat to play with the money, invest in the stick with some initial R&D. However, SIP of 1000 over 10 months is a better option..
and yes, when you make money by using any of the above idea, dont forget paying my consultancy fee lol ..
enjoy investing.. |

Hi roady,
if you prefer Safer mode.... more...
go to any Bank and invest in Fixed deposit. your money will grow in 9% - 10% returns per year.
Going to Direct shares is not advisable as you seems to be novice in financial field.
If you are above 45. call any of athe mutual fund agent. and invest in it. remember here, even thogh threre are good fund managers work for us, we are the only resposible person for our money. there is no guarentied return. but the are many fund which returns with 20% - 25% in average.
SBI magnum
Relaiance
ICICI
are the good performers in this field.
If you are below 45. Then go for Unit linked policies.
Thes are the mutual fund with life insured. thus having a guarenteed Risk benifit. make sure the initial allocation charges should not more than 5%, and should have high sum assurance atleast 30% of yearly premium.
in market Bajaj is performing well. even thogh we cant predict how much return we get. the past performance may suggest some what. Bajaj gave return to the maximum of 48.16% in previuos year. so we can expect atleast half of that as an average.
