No one will buy Yahoo because they just agreed to a 10-year Advertising Deal with GOOGLE, and that puts the end to that. It greatly diminishes microsoft chances, and they have said they have backed out. Unless somehow Icahn can take over Yahoo ... NO Way.

a google merger would not be approved by the micro-managers in our bureaucracy: they won't even approve XM/Sirius, which has about 1 or 2% of the radio market combined. (ie - no anti-trust issues)
