they have what they call Market Makers in the stock market who make the market. There will always be these people to buy stock even if everyone is selling at the same time. Even as the price goes down. Also people who want to buy cheap stocks.

Smart people are hanging onto their investments and waiting for the turn...which will come sooner or later. If they have a few bucks to spare, they could be snapping up the dumped goodies right now. They will be laughing like hell once the market starts to jump.
