I heard that people can make money up to $300 in a week investing in forex trades. Please who knows what this forex thing is about.
How can I get into it, is there anywhere I can get some documentation or software that can teach me how to start from a beginners level up to the stage where I can make good money.
Also are there any websites where I can get training from.

basically your are speculating on a particular country's currency rising or falling.
forex trading can be very lucrative because you are very highly leveraged. usually you are levered up 10-1. so, if you deposit say $10,000 - your broker will allow you to make trades that are worth $100,000. thats how people make it. however, if you do trade with that much leverage all it takes is one trade to completely wipe your account out. one bad mistake is all it takes, and you will make mistakes speculating - everybody does. ask warren buffet about the $600 million he lost shorting the US dollar. but he made is currency bets using futures contracts which aren't as highly levered as your "forex" accounts. |

There are many brokers that you may open an account with to start trading the forex market. It can be very lucrative but be aware that the risks are many and most do not give the appropriate amount of time it deserves. I would recommend using a broker that remains "broker neutral" and what I mean is that he has no ties to any specific broker ie:FXCM or GAIN but rather has a list of brokers to choose from and can guide you to what will be best for your particular situation. www.fxrebates.com is one of the neutral brokers who has a long list of Brokers that you can choose from and they give you a rebate back on all your trades as well. |

Forex is very volatile but it is very profitable. I suggest joining a forex club to learn about forex investing. Why ? You can invest with seasoned traders who know the inner workings, and learn from experience. I am in a club and although I am a retired banker and know finance, I know little in forex. I know major banks, corps, governments and the rich use it as a profitable medium which it is and can be, but if you do not know what you are doing you can lose alot of money too. i will tell you! listen to me, i have family friends that trade forex and make big money from it. you will not make money as a beginner.
sign up meta trader 4, it's easier to use and has indicators or whatever you plan to use.
Email me if you have any questions, i will not tell you how to trade but i can guide you.
these are some points you should take into consideration
- IT IS NOT DRIVEN purely by buyers and sellers like you and me, S&P, Nasdaq, commodities, futures, etc affect the currency prices
-exports become unattractive when price is too high(U.S lowering currency plan to boom exports)
-imports increase when currency price increases
-the big dogs plan to take your money! anything that is common.. DOES not work (usually)
etc etc all the things i said are to open your eyes that it isnt purely based on people trading against each other
i suggest, you make a trading account(demo) put in money when you are confident and use small amounts to train yourself emotionally.
p.s do not believe it when people try to discourage you, like "oh no iv never heard of anyone making money solely in the forex" or "iv never heard of anyone that have made 1million from 1000" or "no one can control the market.. this guy and that guy invested billions and it only just affected the market blah blah"
-proof george sorros shorted the pound and took down the BOE (made 1billion in 1 day) along side with stanley drucken miller
-another guy who made over 100million starting with $1000 is Jesse Livermore.. although he became bankrupt after
