Simply put, your investments aren't well correlated with the overall market. Without knowing what you are specifically invested in or more about you, it's hard to say if they are good or bad investments. Perhaps your stocks pay good dividends and have good downside protection. Of course, yoru investment choices could just be bad too. My best advice would be to go meet with a financial professional. |

take a look at the actual companies. They might be having problems.
You might also try a mutual fund. They invest in many stocks. Diversify your portfolio.
Good luck! |

Well, you have to own the "right" stocks. You can easily do your own research and get ratings and other information on all sorts of websites.

Just look around and find strong buys and go for it. Don't go with old dinosaurs that hardly move at all, look for unique and progressive companies looking to the future. |

It depends upon what type of stock you own. For example, if you own GM, then your stock isn't doing very well right now. While the Dow Jones may be up, remember that they are only made up of 30 companies, you may own stocks that are down, or not in favor at this time. Since you own stocks, I have to assume that you own mutual funds, is this the case? If it isn't the case, then why do you own individual stocks?
I do wish you well. |

There is a very good reason for that and that is you are buying from a licenced dealer over the phone who is a principle dealer in the stock . that means their company has purchased a large tranche of junk stock for onward sale to people like yourself . stop buying over the phone at once, and secondly just try selling them. they will do their utmost to convince you they are still to go up, and will even try and flog you some more.
Its been going on for years. just choose you own stocks . from reading the financial press . take my advice .Ive been in the financial markets for years. |
