People are loosing confidence in the value of the dollar and exiting as fast at they can. The smart ones that is. A budget deficit out of site. A balance of trade deficit out of site. Unfunded liabilities out of site.
People who are loosing faith in the dollar have several options: 1. gold 2. hard assets such as oil, copper, coal, etc. 3. foreign investments.
They are all rising. The dollar still has a long way to fall. It may very well be worth 1/2 as much by the time Bush leaves office. It all depends on interest rates. The only tool available, other than raising taxes, is to raise interest rate. |

Don't worry, whatever rises, has to set ! |

Simply because there is more demand, people should have a balanced portfolio and gold can often cushion a currency or economy variation.
I trade in gold and have witnessed the rise first hand.
Gold is easier than ever for the average person to get hold of, you can now buy in grams rather than kilos.
Check out the website below if you want to get a free gram of gold and try trading. |

Sometimes the price of gold also goes down.
It rises at times when people feel other areas of investment carry a high risk (eg. dollars, stocks/shares, futures, etc.).
Then they sometimes invest in gold.
Because gold sometimes goes down, but never goes down by a lot. |

The value of gold is parellel with the money. When a country print money they have to replace that much money with gold. They keep gold in their reserves. And when they keep the gold in their reserves their currency value stays remain or increase, the amount of gold in the market decrease and it values increase. |

Because people are buying it causeing the value to rise. |

look we can actually explain this on the basis of following three points:
1] the demand of gold is very high and the supply is very less
2] the demand is high because ppl now prefer misc items in their investment portfolios
3] simply some ..bookers ..and ..hoarders are responsible for the rise. |

Because its hard to find gold and people use this opportunity and as an excuse to raise money and it is also rare you cant make it just like that you and you also cant find it just like that. |

BECAUSE THE DEMAND IS MUCH HIGHER WORLD WIDE-CHINA IS BUYING ALL OF THE GOLD THAT THEY CNA GET THEIR HANDS ON--SO WE RAISE THE PRICE-SO THAT THEY ARE SOMEWHAT LINITED-THERE IS ONLY SO MUCH GOLD ON EARTH! IF A WORLD WAR HAPPENED--THE BEST THING TO HAVE WILL BE GOLD--THAT ALONE WIL GET YOU WHAT EVER YOU NEED... I PURCHASED ALOT OF GOLD @ $.360 AN OUNCE--JUST 4 YEARS AGO AND I WILL SELL SOON AND ALL MOST TRIPPLE A SIZEABLE INVESTMENT IN LESS THAN FIVE YEARS, HAD I HAD 10 MILLION TO INVEST, I WOULD NOW BE WORTH OVER 20 MILLION!! WHEN EVER AN INVESTOR HAS EXTRA CAPITAL TO PLACE INTO SOME THING--YOU HAVE TO KNOW IF YOU AARE WILLING TO RISK THE MONEY-AND GO FOR FAST CASH--OR A
"SOLID" INVESTMENT--THATS GOLD--ITS THE ONLY GUARENTEED THING THAT YOU KNOW WILL RETAIN A "FLOOR" VALUE OF LETS SAY 350 PER OUNCE--AND GOLD NEVER DROPS FAST...BESIDES IT IS [TANGIBLE] -LETS SAY THAT YOU GO OUT AND PURCHASE 5,000 IN GOLD FOR AN INVESTMENT. VERSUS A STOCK....IF WE HAD ANOTHER "BLACK MONDAY", THAT PAPER STOCK WOULD BE WORTH LESS--BUT THE GOLD WOULD FEED YOU AND PROVIDE FOR YOU FOR A YEAR--PRICES ALSO DROP-WHEN AN ECONOMY FALLS..IF NO ONE HAS MONEY--OR MAYBE ONLY (!!!) GOLD, THAN ONLY THOSE PEOPLE WILL HAVE PROVISIONS AND FOOD, BECAUSE THE ONES WITH THE OTHER THINGS THAT YOU MIGHT NEED, WILL ONLY ACCEPT GOLD FOR "TENDER" ---AND THE GOLD THAT THEY RECIEVE FOR THEIR GOODS AND SERVICES, THEY WILL IN TURN USE IT (THEIR GOLD)
TO PURCHASE ANY GOODS OR SERVICES THAT THEY NEED OR DESIRE, THAT IT SELF CERATES A "NEW" ECONOMY (MICRO-ECONOMICS), AS THOSE WITH THE GOLD TRANSFER IT AROUND AND REBUILDS A BROKEN ECONOMY....DURING THE DEPRESSION --THE ONLY PEOPLE LIVING GOOD --WERE THE ONES WITH THE GOLD--MY GRAND FATHER WAS A RING MAKER AND HAD ALOT OF GOLD ONCE THE DEPRESSION HIT--AND THEY WENT FROM A WORKING CLASS FAMILY --TO OWNING 10 PERCENT OF 2 STATES!!!! NOW ALLTHAT MONEY THAT HE MADE DURING THE DEPRESSION, AND AFTER, HAS PUT 25 PPL. THRU COLLEGE---FUNDED COUNTLESS WEDDINGD AND FUND RAISERS, AND THR "DENNIS BAILEY FOUNDATION" THAT SUPPORTS ALOT OF CHARITIES..SO REALLY--[REALLY] BELIEVE ME WHEN I TELL YOU THIS-----HENCE THE EXPRESSION--"SOLID GOLD"--THEY DID NOT MEAN THAT THE GOLD IT SELF WAS SOLID--THEY MEANT THAT THEY KNEW THAT WHAT EVER THEY WANTED THEY WOULD NOW HAVE! HOPE THIS HEPLS! |

There is a lot of demand from India and China, people hedging against inflation, and speculators. Not only is it used for jewelry, etc, it being used to hedge against monetary profligacy. If central banks start printing money to pay for government purchases, inflation will take hold. Gold, being a tangible commodity, can hedge against this devaluation of currency, should the governments not exercise monetary restraint. Also, the markets are worried about inflation here in the US. |
