shamieya | Why is Houston real estate so cheap? |
I'm from Florida and i am astonished, in shock, about the real estate prices in Houston. There's got to be a reason this property is so cheap, but I havent heard anything bad about Houston beside it being hot and humid. Maybe I'm giving away a secret, but there's got to be something wrong for the real estate to be so cheap. I am compelled to buy some. Somebody who knows something I don't about these prices, please let me know! |

78% more murders than the rest of the Country.
146% more robberies than the rest of the Country.
156% more arson than the rest of the Country.

Real estate prices are usually determined by supply and demand. The higher the demand, the higher the prices. My guess is that there is little demand for Houston real estate and very high supply.
Perhaps this is because there are less people moving into the area and more moving out. Or, there are SO MANY houses, it far outweighs the demand.
I have never lived in Houston, so this is all just my hypothesis. |

Because nobody wants to live there. Of course, being from Florida, it might be that Houston's real estate prices are inline, and Florida's prices are vastly inflated. |
