You are no different from the average person.

You actually answered your own question. Running yourself further into debt is not the answer.

You have champagne taste on a beer income. You buy what you want although you can't afford it. Learn to stretch money until it squeals.

How often do you eat out rather than cook at home? Don't know how to cook? Get a cookbook and follow the instructions to the letter. Learn to cook and you will save a lot of money. Don't buy the latest CD, record it from the radio. Shop in second hand clothing shops and you can sometimes get expensive clothes at a very low price. Don't buy things because you want them, but because you need them. Plain often works just as well as fancy.

Overspending will just get you drowning in debt to the point you cannot pay the debt. Bankruptcy ruins credit and takes many years to go away. Be poor and many things will cost you more than they cost people with money.

But cutting spending is only part of it, you must also try to increase your earnings. Get more education to qualify for better jobs.

Pray that you do not lose your job, so do it to the utmost of your ability. However I know what it is to lose a job while in debt and I recommend reading Psalm 40 as it really applies. Never give up, never stop trying, but realise that it is God who is in charge, pray for help, give your problems to God and He will lift you from the miry clay. God did it for me and He can do it for you.

Basically I can put this bluntly, you don't have discipline and self control. But since you know that you already lack self control why not try a technique taught in "Rich Dad Poor Dad" a book by Robert T Kiyosaki. Which is to pay yourself first and yes find a place that gives you good interest rate. By paying yourself first you can start accumulating some money. I would recommend a percentage of your pay check. Then use the rest of the money to pay your bills and other expenses. Another thing for you to do is to maybe find a credit card that has 0% on balance transfer for a year. That way you will at least by yourself some time to pay off those credit card bills. THese are just some minor tips I would recommend you learn a little more about finance 101 or try reading that book.

To be spending money you do not have, you must be
using credit cards or have other places to borrow.
Cut up your credit cards now, get help to set and stay on a budget!

you are weak, you are unable to put off current desires for the things that you will need in the future. You should show some will power and instead of buying everything that is pretty and sparkles consider if it is truly that important. Also consider some cost cutting measures, instead of paying $1/ day for vending machine soda have water and put that $1 per day in a completely separate savings account after 10 years at a modest 3% interest rate you would have $4,757. Check out some of the calculators that yahoo! has made that can determine anything from how long it will take to pay off credit cards to your net worth very easily. http://finance.yahoo.com/calculator/index

Cos your spending it too fast, HA! Ha!, how are you?

Because things cost money, and everybody wants to charge you for everything. You may either have to get a better paying job, or try budgeting your money by paying for the important things first : like bills, toiletries, food, etc. Then with what's left buy things you want, or save a little if possible. I know it sounds corney, and you won't be able to get all that you want, but it would be smarter to do it this way.
