Why should an NRI return to India?

Because even if he is a Non- Resident, he is still an Indian! Because India is booming, opening up, has a stable market, and is a very attractive place to invest their foreign earned money. Because however bad (as they think) India is, this is the only place where you are treated as a first- class citizen.

Thats why an NRI should return to India.

first of all coz he is an indian.. n why not.. there r so many reasons to be back to ur motherland.. its got one of the most booming industry be it in IT or business or anything else.. u wanna work then y work for somebody else when u got ur country n ur own people..

NRI stands for non residential Indian and not non reliable Indian. India being the motherland will always have an inside pull towards it. More then 90% choose to be NRI to achieve a goal which varies with individual, ontop of that only a few handful countries give there citizenship even after staying there for decades, so there is an every reason for NRI's to return to there homeland.

toploser
no such reason for them to return to india,if they want to do some social work ,they can do it from any part of the world.yes if they want to settel in india, its their home they can come back any time.

As NRI return to their native land called INDIA , as they thught that INDIA is enough developed country , as they get more job facilities. The reason 4 migration is "BRAIN DRAIN" ,reason 4 returing to India i.e. India's culture their tradition & many oter reasons as they LOVE their native land & many more

hitendra72
no reason to return... my suggestion - stay where you are and dont come back....we dont need you

for all those people who think i am being chauvinist, there is a difference between accepting investment, and NRI coming back. i believe in an open economy and thus, anyone who wishes to invest here should be welcome to do so (NRI or non-NRI, or foreigner or whoever)

but for this, one doesn't have to "come back" - stay where you are and be happy... we are happy without you coming here and complaining on every small thing...

Should never return.

For what? what has the country done to you - except having a bunch of idiotic lunatic curropt Ministers all that you would end up is loosing all you hard earned money - the very reason you went out for.

Being an NRI doesn't give any leverage in getting a job.
Being an NRI everything costs more inclusive of your kid's education, flats, etc.
Being an NRI every other Indian will be behind you to grab as much as possible from you.

The question should have been the other way. Still inspite of those who left the shore, India still continue to move on and would be moving on. For those NRIs who have interpreted themselves as Non Returning Indians, it is their own sweet will to settle overseas, perhaps for the common good!!
