Why sometimes the stock market opens high up or much below?
whats the reason tht the market somtimes opens up high enough at gap or opens at a huge downfall?

In a free market, it's the buyers and sellers who decide at what prices to trade. And if these buyers and sellers change their minds overnight for some reason. Then they start trading at different prices when the market opens in the morning.

Some business and economic news come out when the stock market is closed. And if this news changes the perceptions of investors a lot. Then these investors re-evaluate stock prices. And they change their bidding and asking prices a lot for their buy and sell orders that they enter through their brokerages. Which causes the market to open at much higher or much lower prices than the closing prices from the previous day.

stock are traded all over the world 24 hours a day, so if the market tanks, and this continuous in Asia and Europe, our markets will open lower the next trading day.

When there are more sellers than buyers the market falls.
When there are more buyers than sellers the market goes up.

There is no other reason.

This is a very good question, because understanding why the market is moving is the beginning of sound investment, swing trading, or day trading strategy.

The market operates on three elements - supply, demand and public perception.

The supply and demand drive price - the higher demand for a given supply, the higher the price, and the lower the demand for a given supply, the lower its price. On top of this, the public's perception of where the market is going - (whether correct or not is immaterial) - drives emotion to purchase or sell over and above the supply and demand issues.

The volatility in the present market is due to the lack of confidence by the public in the market. Many continue to move to cash positions, demanding that their hedge fund holdings and/or mutual fund holdings be sold at inopportune times, accelerating the volatily swings up and down, and the unpredictability of those swings. Likewise, the more volatile the market, the more people (myself included) rotate to a trading strategy, and trade smaller amounts than normal to minimize risk, because the positions will move in one direction for long enough to make multiple nice profits - but if not, the risk is a very small percentage of the net portfolio. Trading in a market like this on a daily basis is very effective with planned profit percentages built in with a sell limit, and protection on the bottom with a stop loss. The more people trade short term, the more it accentuates the pendulum effect on the market, exaggerating the momentum and distance of the swings.

I hope this helps you.

The reason is that sometimes some important piece of news come out during the period that the market is closed.
The news changes the perception of the market relatively to the previous session, so when the market opens it immediately adjust to the latest news.
