Not to where it was. They got involved with a bunch of derivatives such as credit default swaps. Plus they have to pay back the 100's of billions dollars loaned by the fed by selling off most of their business's. If you want to buy A.I.G buy the preferred shares symbol (avf). So you can get paid a high yield while you wait. |

yes it will. the economy has cycles. we are obviously in the down part of the cycle but in a few years we should start moving towards the upper part of the cycle. |

and also continues to grow normally
(as a corporation needs to always be doing)....then in 3 or 4 or 7 years, yes.
It should go up and up constantly as the years go by - like all stocks do.- with just a periodic dip here anjd there along the way when recessions occur.
A dip like now is just a temporary downturn.
In the long run -if you look at ther company's growth over the years it's been in business, you'll see it goes down when there's a recession ((*loses the artificially high price it had ballooned to)) then starts going up again after the recession is over...ultimatley getting higher and ever higher with just these temporary dips along the way as recessions occur.

With time it should. let's see if we can get the dow back to 10k this year? Aig should stay in tight trading ranges, unless big news breaks. |
